ERIK PETERSON is a member
of the Colorado
Symphony. He is the founder and artistic director of this festival
and co-founder of the Denali
Ensemble.
SARAH KNUTSON, violinist
with the New Century
Chamber Orchestra and with Pro Musica, has held a principal position
in The
American Sinfonietta and performs regularly with the San
Francisco Symphony.
ADAM ESBENSEN, cello, is
a member of the Oregon
Symphony. He was featured as a chamber performer
at the 2003 Ernest Bloch Festival.
MICHAEL TUBB, viola, is
an active chamber player in San Francisco.
LINDA LARSON, soprano, performs in the opening and closing concerts. On June 19 she premières David Mullikin's song cycle "A Gray Unsettled Light," commissioned for the Festival.
LARA WICKES, principal oboe of the Erato Philharmonia of Los Angeles, has performed twice this year in Carnegie Hall. She'll perform Mozart on Tuesday and Bach on Thursday.
JASON DUCKLES, cellist of the Amelia Piano Trio, which has been part of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road project, performs in Great Duos for Violin and Cello on Friday.
- GUEST ARTISTS
ERIN FURBEE, violin, is Assistant Concertmaster of the Oregon Symphony and the founder of Tango Pacífico, featured in the Donor's Party:Tango Bach to Corvallis.
JEFF JOHNSON, bass, of the Oregon Symphony, plays with Tango Pacífico. He also performs in the Trout quintet Tuesday and in Thursday's chamber orchestra.
ANTHEA KRESTON, violinist of the Amelia Piano Trio, performs Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. She and Jason took part in the 2003 Chintimini Festival. The trio appeared in Corvallis' Chamber Music Corvallis series in November 2003.
JESSICA LAMBERT is on the faculty of Oregon State University, teaching violin and viola. She previously played viola in the Oregon Symphony.
RACHELLE McCABE, director of the piano program at Oregon State University, has performed concertos with leading orchestras and partnered many leading players as a chamber musician.
JULIE COLEMAN, violin, is a member of the Oregon Sympany.
DEREK CARLSON, violin, is much in demand in mid-Valley string sections. His Quartet Orfeo enjoys performing for weddings and receptions.
ANGELA CARLSON, harpsichord continuo in Thursday's chamber orchestra, has also appeared in Chintimini Festivals as a pianist. She teaches theory and accompanies at Oregon State University and frequently lectures on opera.
EVAN ORMAN, bandoneon, of Denver, often performs with Tango Pacifico. He'll be here for Donor's Party: Tango Bach to Corvallis.
JANET COLEMAN, pianist, has appeared with Marilyn Horne, Janos
Starker, the Oregon Symphony, the Southwest Washington Symphony, Portland Opera, the Cascade Music Festival, Aaron Meyer, Third Angle and Fear No Music. She'll be here for the Donor's Party:Tango Bach to Corvallis.
