Victoria Wolff
After she moved to Corvallis she studied cello with Hamilton Cheifetz. In high school she attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and spent her summers at the Johannesen Summer Music Festival in Victoria, B.C. Victoria performed Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations with the Oregon State University Chamber Orchestra and has often played in the Symphony. A long time acquaintance of Marlan Carlson, she has also performed with Angela Carlson. At seventeen, she was accepted to The Juilliard School to study with Harvey Shapiro. In New York her performances included concerts at Carnegie, Avery Fisher, and Alice Tully Halls. She played under the batons of Pierre Boulez, Kurt Masur, Leonard Slatkin, James DePreist, and John Rutter. Victoria has made two European tours and held a summer residency in Northern Italy. She also had the privilege of playing aboard the Queen Elizabeth II, with special performances requested by actress Lynn Redgrave. Victoria received her Bachelor's degree from The Juilliard School and is currently finishing her Doctoral degree at The University of Texas at Austin. She substitutes regularly with the Austin Symphony and is building up a considerable private studio. She is also a member of Four Point Strings, which performs regularly in events in the Austin area. She was married in August 2006 to Victor Zevallos. Rachelle McCabe and Victoria are considering collaboration in the near future in the Corvallis area.
