Lara Wickes
 Lara Wickes, a 1996 graduate of Crescent Valley High School, currently resides in Los Angeles, where she is principal oboist of the Erato Philharmonia. She has been a member of the Los Angeles Debut Orchestra, the Eugene Opera Orchestra, and the Oregon Mozart Players. She received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, where she studied with renowned oboist Allan Vogel. She plays regularly with the new music groups Inauthentica, the Nimbus Ensemble, and the New Century Players. In 2005, Lara had two featured performances in Carnegie hall: one playing principal oboe in Mozart's Gran Partita in B flat and the other playing theremin in a premiere of a new work by Lera Auerbach. This summer she will be attending the Lucerne Music Festival in Switzerland under the direction of Pierre Boulez. She is currently working toward a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern California, and is studying under former L.A. Philharmonic principal oboist David Weiss.
