2002 MUSICIANS
- OUR SIX CORVALLIS PROGENY
Erik Peterson, artistic director of
this festival, is a member of the Colorado Symphony, The American
Sinfonietta, and the Denali Ensemble.
- Michael Tubb has been principal viola
in the Debut Symphony and has played in the Peter Britt and Oregon Coast
festivals.
- Linda Larson, soprano, of New York,
has won acclaim in sixteen major operatic roles and numerous oratorio
and concert engagements.
- Sarah Knutson, of the New Century
Chamber Orchestra and The American Sinfonietta, performs regularly
with the San Francisco Symphony.
- Adam Esbensen is a member of the
Louisville Symphony. He performed at Taos and in Spoleto at the Festival
of the Two Worlds.
- Erik Borgir performs across Europe
in the Emanon Trio, is principal cello of a chamber orchestra, and teaches
at Stuttgart's Hochschule für Music.
- GUEST ARTISTS
Thomas Heinrich of the Colorado Symphony
and the Denali Ensemble is principal cellist
of The American Sinfonietta and performed last summer as principal
at the Grand Teton Festival.
- Phillip Stevens, violist, of the
Colorado Symphony and the Denali Ensemble,
has a special interest in contemporary chamber works and was a founding
member of the Sheridan Chamber Players.
- Rachelle McCabe, pianist, Professor
of Music, international recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist,
performs in a Beethoven trio and a Schumann piano quintet Tuesday,
June 11, 2002.
- Carol Robe is principal clarinet in
the Corvallis-OSU
Symphony and Eugene Opera and a member of the Arrieu
Wind Quintet. She frequently performs with the Oregon Symphony.
- Angela Carlson, pianist, is active
as an accompanist at Oregon State University and with Opera
Theater Corvallis. She performs with voice and clarinet and with
three cellos on Friday, June 14, 2002.
- Matthew Faust, Oregon Symphony violinist,
is an accomplished and devoted chamber musician.
- Fritz Gearhart, violinist, has
performed for audiences from coast to coast. January 2002 marked his
5th appearance at Carnegie Recital hall since 1998. Mr. Gearhart has
been heard frequently on National Public Radio including several live
broadcast performances, one recently featured on the nationally broadcast
program, Performance Today. Mr. Gearhart is currently on the faculty
of the University of Oregon School of Music and a member of the Oregon
String Quartet.
