2002 DONORS' RECITAL

A delightful precursor to the second Chintimini Chamber Music Festival will be the Donors' Recital, to be held Sunday, June 9, 2002 at 5:30 pm at the Courtyard Inn. Performers are Dolores Borgir and her son Erik, who returns from Germany to take part in the Festival. Their program includes the Suite popular española of Manuel de Falla, a Hindemith sonata for solo cello, and Schubert's Arpeggione sonata. Before and after the recital, wine and nonalcoholic beverages, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts will be served.

All supporters at the level of Patron and above will receive an invitation to this gala event. To be sure that Dolores' and Erik's many Oregon friends and admirers will hear them, the level of Patron this year will include all contributions of $75 or more.

Dolores Borgir, Piano

Erik Borgir is principal cellist of the Schloss Werneck Chamber Orchestra and teaches at the Music School in Stuttgart, where he also resides. As a member of the Emanon Trio, winner of several international competitions and cultural awards, he regularly tours throughout Europe.

Dolores Borgir, a pianist of Norwegian-Venezuelan origin, has performed concerts from Scandinavia to South America, to Russia and throughout the United States. She has been a frequent guest Artist with the Norwegian Broadcasting Company and has performed at the Grieg home, Troldhaugen, near Bergen.
